Milan
- A new light under the snow.

This is not at all the Milan we're familiar with, hidden as it is by mist and fog. During wintery days and covered by the snow, the capital of Northern Italy seems another city altogether and appears more wonderful beneath the white veil that reflects the evening lights. Piazza Duomo, the castle, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, la Scala opera house, the Navigli, all seem to be new places, new monuments. Of course, there are still the city's usual comings and goings, the fashion shops and packed restaurants and bars, but everything seems dipped in a rarefied and crystal-clear air. The sound of traffic is all but dissolved in this surreal atmosphere. And when it snows, Milan is an extraordinary city, both to visit and live in. And to photograph, as shown by the images in this selection.
